...teacher gift {idea}

Well, it's getting close to the end of the school year...how did we get here so fast? It seems like just yesterday I was wrapping Christmas presents...

And this year, I am bound and determined to have teachers' gifts ready to go for the last day of school...I absolutely refuse to run out the night before to any store that happens to be open to get a gift card (like last year...). Now, please, don't get me wrong...I adore gift cards...I think they are fabulous and they can be a fantastic gift...especially for me...in case you feel the need to buy me something...BUT, I, personally, am getting weary of buying them for every occasion.

So...this year I wanted to go with something different...

And this is what I came up with...

My friend, Lisa, is a thirty-one representative...and I bought these darling Littles Carry-All Caddies from her. I knew I wanted to add something to them...and both kids' have teachers who had new babies early in the school year...sooo, I decided to turn the bags into little summer emergency kits.

I headed out to Target & stocked up on some summer essentials...hand wipes, bug spray, sunscreen, tissues, and Bite MD (have you tried this stuff??? It is AWESOME). Then I just popped them into the little bag...easy peasy lemon squeezy. I'll have the kids make little Thank You cards to pop into the front pockets (adorable) & done!

Easy, inexpensive (the caddies are just $12.00! - but any container would do) & just a little different from my norm...

  2. That is an insanely great idea, and one that you know they will appreciate and definitely use. I'll be putting this handy idea in my pocket for use when Izzy is in school :)

  3. Maggie great idea and so useful, anything you can actually use is truly appreciated. why can't the kids go to school all year? I love summer but having the kids home for 10 weeks will put a serious cramp in my project completion rate. We'll be suffering together.

  4. Oh, your kids teachers will love you!

    (I taught school for years and when I quit I felt SUPER guilty taking all my "World's Greatest Teacher" mugs down to the local donation center.)

    It's cute and they will use it. I wish I had your kids in my class...
