...teacher's tote bag...

8.22.2011
My baby heads to Preschool for the first time on Friday...I can't believe it...but I'm gonna celebrate it...

WOO HOO!!!

3 full hours, 3 days a week, ALL. TO. MYSELF...for the first time in almost 9 years...

And I can't wait.

Yes, I absolutely adore my children...they are the best thing that's ever happened to me...I couldn't live for even one minute without them...

But they need to go back to school.

My older two start today...and I will dance as the bus pulls away from my driveway.

I will be sharing what we made for their teachers later in the week...but for now, here's what we made for T-Bone's teacher...

I was originally inspired to make a personalized tote bag when I saw Cheryl's post on Tidy Mom...

I absolutely adored the look of the monogram...

and then I saw this at The 36th Avenue...

Oh. Yes. Loved this one, too...

So, I used 'em both...

DesirĂ©e at The 36th Avenue has a fantastic tutorial on how she did her bags here...
I did mine just the same way...

With just my Silhouette & some acrylic paint, I got this awesome bag...all set for Ty to take to school on Friday...I'm secretly hoping that this super-awesome tote helps Mrs. Crowley look past the fact that my almost-4-year-old doesn't know his ABCs yet...poor 3rd child.

Here's where I'm linking up this week...
