Storyline | Heidi Swapp + Michaels

A few days ago I posted my latest Storyline layout using the new items now found at Michaels stores...see that post HERE.

Well, I loved creating that page so much that I decided to go ahead and make a few more...you know, while I had all the stuff out...

Here's the first one:

The Adventure Deck of Days is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! The greens & florals in this kit just make me so happy...and you'll usually see at least one card from this set on my pages.

Something I really like to do on my Storyline pages is vary how I do my journaling. Sometimes I'll type it on, print it on with my printer, handwrite it, or even use stencils or alpha stickers.

And Storyline makes documenting older photos so darn easy!

I was always so concerned that I wasn't "caught up" with my documenting...like I had these years and years of photos just hanging over my head waiting to be scrapped. But I never had the time to get them done!

Not anymore! Just a few stickers and a few words & done!

I usually use the photo corner stickers included in the kits as arrows.

Don't they just look so cool like that?!

I love that I can be done in just a few minutes...and I REALLY love that I'm getting all of these stories told!

Pineapple Crush | Heidi Swapp

Here we are at the end of yet another week...just a few days before the start of spring - yay!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not Irish.

Except on St. Patrick's Day...because, really...aren't we all a wee bit Irish on that day?

To decorate for this lovely, almost-spring holiday, I decided to add a little fun to my kitchen.

I found a quote that made me laugh, and used a variety of Heidi Swapp Letterboard typefaces & letter sizes on my extra large (15"x23") Letterboard.

Then I found a few fun slides for my Lightbox to add some more green (my FAVORITE color right now!) to my kitchen decor.

I used a sewing pin, tucked through a paper shamrock and into the Letterboard to add a little more color and a bit more decoration.

I'll bet you're wondering if I'm really planning on eating this concoction for breakfast?

Heck to the no way.

Probably.

New Heidi Swapp Storyline!

A new Heidi Swapp Storyline Collection is now arriving in Michaels stores and all I can say is WOOO HOOO!

You memory-keepers out there may already be familiar with Heidi's Storyline Collection.

But for those of you who aren't, let me fill you in.

Storyline is a collection of albums (that include pre-designed background pages) & accessories designed to make scrapbooking quick & easy.

Heidi wanted to get back to the heart of scrapbooking - the storytelling - and these products make that SO EASY!

New products are arriving in Michaels stores (including some of the most beautiful albums you've ever seen), AND Heidi's team is sharing a TON of Storyline inspiration to get you motivated to get those stories told!

Here's a layout I created with the new collection...

And here's the sketch to go along with it...perfect for either an 8.5"x11" layout (like mine!) or a 12"x12" page!

This layout took me all of 20 minutes to create...start to finish! And a good majority of that was tracing around & coloring in my little circles!

I started by choosing my photo & adding it to my page. Then I grabbed a few stickers and popped them on. Next, I added in the date the photo was taken and the WHO, WHAT & WHERE. Finally, I doodled in a few designs and this layout was done!

Get those facts down, embellish a little (or a lot!), and that's it!
